talkv or Wati?

In short

The most finished product here. Deep chatbot building, a large integration catalogue, and a support organisation big enough to answer on a Sunday. For a team of fifteen who will use all of it, a serious tool.

We are the other shape. Meta bills you directly for the messages, we charge a prepaid fee per message for the software, and there is no subscription. Below is what that changes — and where each of us is the wrong answer.

Side by side

The four questions that actually decide this.

Not a feature grid. Features change every quarter and every product on this page will have shipped three things by the time you read it. These four are structural — they follow from how each company is set up with Meta, and they do not move.

Who bills you for messages
talkv Meta, directly to your card Wati Wati, from credits you buy
Message price vs software plan
talkv No plans. Meta’s rate is Meta’s rate Wati Rate card is Wati’s, not Meta’s

The difference that matters

Who is billing you for the messages.

The full explanation

Messages are billed from credits bought from Wati rather than by Meta, and the team plans are priced per person — extra users are charged monthly on top of the plan. A single-user option is pay-as-you-go instead.

We are a Meta Tech Provider. You attach your own payment method to your own WhatsApp Business Account, and Meta invoices you for the messages directly. We never hold that money and never see that invoice — which also means we could not add anything to it if we wanted to. Our fee is for the software, and it is the only number we set.

Neither arrangement is dishonest. A provider that resells messages is carrying credit, handling billing and giving you a single invoice, and some finance teams strongly prefer that. The trade is that you can no longer separate the cost of the message from the cost of the software — and when Meta raises a rate, as it may on the first of any quarter, you have no document to hold the increase against.

Honestly

When Wati is the better answer.

A larger team that wants one vendor for chatbots, integrations and support, and would rather have more product than a smaller bill.

Their pricing page

And where we lose outright.

  • We are younger and smaller than every provider compared here, and that shows in how much product you get.
  • No visual chatbot builder. There are keyword rules, greetings and away messages, and that is the whole of it.
  • No app-store catalogue of integrations — there is a developer API, but you build the connection.
  • No SOC 2, because we have not been audited. If you need one to buy, we are not the right answer yet.

And when we are

When we are the better answer.

A small team with a large list. Paying per seat taxes adding the person who answers the phone, and a fee with no subscription costs nothing in the months you do not send.

Questions

Asked while choosing.

Is talkv a good Wati alternative?

It depends on what you want from it. Where Wati is strong: The most finished product here. Deep chatbot building, a large integration catalogue, and a support organisation big enough to answer on a Sunday. For a team of fifteen who will use all of it, a serious tool. talkv is a Meta Tech Provider, which means Meta bills you directly for WhatsApp messages on your own payment method and talkv charges a separate prepaid fee per message for the software, with no subscription and no per-seat charge. talkv is the smaller and younger product of the two.

What is the difference between talkv and Wati?

The structural difference is who bills you for the WhatsApp messages themselves. With talkv, Meta does, directly, so the message cost is visible on your own Meta invoice. Messages are billed from credits bought from Wati rather than by Meta, and the team plans are priced per person — extra users are charged monthly on top of the plan. A single-user option is pay-as-you-go instead.

Is talkv cheaper than Wati?

Not necessarily, and it depends entirely on how you send. talkv has no monthly fee, so a business that broadcasts occasionally pays nothing in the months it does not send. A business sending heavily every month should compare the per-message software fee against the other provider's subscription plus its message rate, and should check whether that message rate is Meta's or the provider's own.
